Multiple winner of the Canadian Open and Grand Masters Fiddle Contests, Scott Woods and his band bring alive the music of the 30's, 40's and 50's in this two hour uplifting old time show. Swingin' Fiddles features not one, not two but three fiddlers playing together in harmony. Western swing, big band, pop standards, country, gospel and plenty of old time fiddling pack the program. Sensational step dancing, home spun family humour and of course Scott's famous trick fiddling make this a show you don't want to miss! Adults $20, Kids 6 - 12 $10, Kids 5 & under FREE.

The Annual Open Minds Walk and Run is an exceptional event attended by well over 1500 participants province-wide, including industry leaders from prominent Alberta businesses, city officials, sponsors, local media, volunteers and staff of the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta. Featuring a 5 km and 10 km run and a 2.5 km fun walk.
The Open Minds Walk and Run is not only for run and walk participants to enjoy; there are activities during the run for all families, supporters and our sponsors to take part in. Everyone can enjoy; complimentary breakfast, music and entertainment, Kids Zone and much more!

An estimated 120 professional cyclists from over 20 countries are slated to race in Alberta's inaugural Pro Cycling Event. Starting in Edmonton, racers wind south through rural roads, the Badlands, Rockies and foothills over a six-day course, ending with an exciting circuit through downtown Calgary. A series of festivals complement the event, organized at the local level, which include food, entertainment and a number of activities and celebrations that highlight the unique personalities of each community.

To commemorate the anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope, every school in Canada is invited to participate in the Terry Fox National School Run Day. This event will be held simultaneously at schools large and small from coast-to-coast. With millions of schools participating, this could one of the largest single-day events in Canadian history and will allow our youth to show all of Canada the power they have to help others.

4th annual Nordlys Film and Arts Festival at the historic Bailey Theatre in Camrose, AB. This year's line-up includes an eclectic mix of first-rate films from Alberta, Canada and around the world. It also includes a live performance from Juno winner Rita Chiarelli, Canada's Queen of Blues, following a screening of a film about her visit to a Louisiana penitentiary.
